A go-to dish for us is a kinda haphazard, clean-out-the-fridge-style soup we affectionately refer to as “Pot-o-veg”. It usually starts with some spicy Italian sausage from the freezer and incorporates literally any veggie you can find.
My go-to is the fig curry in Meera Sodha’s Made In India. It’s simple and so delicious and people always feel special being served homemade Indian food!
Crockpot chili. Set and forget but goes with hot dogs, spaghetti, nachos, and more, and if folks want to contribute they can bring all sorts of toppings.
I host a lot of friends for Mah Jongg so snacks are on the menu like Chex Party mix, seasoned nuts and always a sweet - brownies, cookies and if I’m hosting in the morning, there will definitely be a scone. Thank you for the giveaway!
Italian pesto dip (cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, pesto and tomatoes)with toasted baguettes dippers , it’s easy tastes delish is easy to make year round. Can you fresh tomatoes in the summer and canned the rest of the year.
Linger sounds fab! My go to is a Napa Cabbage Slaw with a creamy soy dressing from Sunset magazine aaaaages ago. As you prob understand, Sunset is like crack for a displaced Californian. I renamed it Hero Slaw because my plumber sheepishly admitted he feels badly that every time he brings it to a party he is the hero. I say nobody owns "Hero Slaw"and it belongs to everybody.
What a yummy newsletter! Years after they closed, I'm still making a copycat recipe from Zero Zero in SF—chickpeas stewed in a rosemary-tomato sauce served over crusty bread with burrata. I also love a big paella, which was my mom's go-to dinner party meal.
Hetty is simply the best! My go to for feeding people is Just Keeps Getting Better Lentil Salad - and a batch of Superhero Muffins. Having a baby? Someone is sick? Invited me to a potluck? That's what I'm bringing.
This cookbook on Salad sounds heavenly to me!!!! My go to dish for friends would be either My famous Banana Nut Bread or Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies with toasted pecans! I LOVE to

I have become well known among my friends for doing good ol breakfast for dinner…and lemon ricotta pancakes are ALWAYS welcomed by any guest!
Either a Goan chicken curry or a one-pot chicken biryani (which often leads to more than 1 helping!) :D
Lasagna—warm, cozy crowd pleaser

I love to make lasagna when hosting friends. There are so many variations and it can be prepared in advance!
This cookbook sounds lovely :)

Joy's mediterranean salmon parcels are always a hit, and so easy to make as many or few servings as needed
