A Spring baby! 🌸 Congratulations!

I recently made a meatball vegetable soup that has allspice in the broth. It’s warming and delicious & everyone’s favorite. My mother received the recipe in 1958 from the electric company. She was a newlywed and didn’t know how to cook. The electric company gave a demonstration of the recipe. She walked away with the written recipe and a light bulb. 🙂

JOY! I’m so ridiculously happy for you. Fellow infertility lady (IVF) who tended to many plants before babies. I can’t wait to witness your motherhood journey. 💕

(p.s. - my 2nd child entered the world in November and her name is… Joy.)

Love this whole post. Best wishes on your baby!!! So exciting. I've been following you a long time, im so happy for you and your family. I dont call myself a cook, im grateful to be invited to many tables but your books inspire me and I am definitely excited for the Crowded Kitchen. I did make a delicious roast with potatoes recently for some happy tummies.

Congratulations! I saw that baby bump in a past post and have been anxiously awaiting your announcement, congratulations to both of you! I had an April baby…it’s the perfect time of year to welcome your precious bundle. Our Lasagna Soup is a dinner we love to share at our table.

I recently baked dinner rolls for the first time. I brought them to a friend’s house to go with dinner and they were a huge hit! There were none left after we finished dinner. I was thrilled! 😁

Congrats to you both! Last thing I made were boneless pork chops with a tart cherry, shallot, thyme balsamic glaze and mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach.

We’ve been using Costco arrecherra to make fajitas! It’s already marinading in the package so it makes a super easy and delish meal for a huge group!

And after following you for probably 15 years, I got tears in my eyes when you said 7 months pregnant ❤️ So thrilled for you and Will!

Beyond thrilled for you and your baby Joy! Also for Beth and Lexi if they haven’t seen the delightful animated movie ROBOT DREAMS they need to immediately - the song SEPTEMBER features heavily!

Congratulations on your impending motherhood! Soup of any kind is my offering to the table. So many good ones, but I am partial to a simple chicken broth with tortellini and spinach, topped with parmesan. Goodness in a bowl.
