I would dearly love how to make a flaky pie crust. Mine are like cardboard! Yuk.

Ahhh summer, the best time to bake (aside from the heat). Thanks for interviewing me and highlighting my new cookbook, Great Bakes!

Wow why did I think I was the only who used TJ’s all butter pastry dough for ham and cheese croissants? (Lol!) my boys love them! And yes I am counting down the days until I can restock my freezer, I think the last guy I asked said mid to late September. We’re close! And yes I completely agree with Martin, cooked strawberries — hard no from me.

Oh Joy, I’ve never tried for one of your cookbook giveaways before, but I’m inspired! I would love to make Martin’s Giant Cherry Pop Tart! I’ve always wanted to try making a homemade Pop Tart and I have family who love cherries and Pop Tarts!! But I’m always looking for THE recipe for whole wheat bread so Martin’s recipe would be great to try (and master!) also. I also think this is the year for Joy’s all butter crust apple pie for Thanksgiving at my new house in Maine! I moved this spring after 75 years in NH! Many many years ago my best friend and I met up in Norwich VT at King Arthur Flour and learned from YOU Joy how to make your pie! (And got our cookbooks autographed!) We went off to our homes in NH and Mass. and wowed our families that Thanksgiving. Her daughter in California made it also and we shared pics on Thanksgiving morning! Thank you!

The bake I want to master? Martin’s Flaky Pastry is calling my name!

The bake I want to master is a great whole grain loaf of bread. I’ve been baking bread for over 50 years and am still dissatisfied with every loaf I bake.

The bake I want to master is a laminated croissant. I have wanted to try for years and years
