Three Things I'm Eating Right Now with cookbook author Lindsey Baruch
You had me at Habanero Caesar Dressing.
Friends, we’re eating well today thanks to Lindsey Baruch.
If you don’t already know Lindsey, you’re in for such a treat. She’s a Los Angeles–based recipe developer, food stylist, and the creative behind Lindsey Eats, where she’s been sharing her signature cozy, craveable, flavorful recipes for years. Her food always hits that sweet spot of feeling chef-y but totally doable. We’re talking bright pastas, crispy-edged vegetables (the best), and sauces you’ll want to pour over everything in sight.
Today marks the release of her first cookbook, So Delicious. Trust me when I say the book is as stunning as it is approachable. It’s filled with unfussy, flavor-packed meals that make weeknights feel special and weekend food feel simple. Lindsey’s recipes are deeply rooted in comfort but always with a fresh twist.
To celebrate her book birthday, Lindsey’s sharing three dishes she’s eating on repeat this season! (All downloadable to add to your collection!)

Here’s Lindsey:
A big theme for my cookbook, Something Delicious, is cooking with your five senses: taste, smell, touch, sight, and sound. Every recipe in the book has been thought of with that in mind by providing additional insights into what you should be looking for, and by providing sensory cues to ensure you have success with every recipe.
Another part of cooking with your senses is how personal it can be. Sometimes I will want it sweeter or more savory than someone else. I want these recipes to share techniques and recipe ideas, but for the reader to have the freedom to develop their own style. For example, with the little gem lettuce salad, it’s a spicy habanero dressing. Maybe if you don’t like it as spicy, you can opt to swap it with a jalapeno, but what if you like it really spicy? Then add another habanero!
Here are three recipes from my cookbook that feel cozy for this month and will be great options to cook and bake for any upcoming holidays as we go deeper into Fall!
LITTLE GEM CAESAR SALAD WITH HABANERO DRESSING & SOURDOUGH BREAD CRUMBS
I wasn’t the biggest salad fan growing up (I was actually quite the picky eater!), but the one salad I would always order was a Caesar. Maybe because it was covered in a creamy dressing, loads of Parmesan, and croutons. A favorite Caesar of mine is from Jon & Vinny’s in Los Angeles. Theirs is made with little gems, a spicy Calabrian chili dressing and panko bread crumbs instead of croutons. Here, we’re layering off their flavors with sourdough bread crumbs and a spicy habanero Caesar dressing (and yes, we’re using raw egg yolks and anchovies).
INDIVIDUAL MIXED-BERRY CRUMBLES
Ever since I can remember, my Aunt Lulu and Uncle Allan would make batches of berry crumble for the holidays. It’s something they know I love and look forward to each year; naturally, a version of it deserves a special place in this book. This crumble is made with a base of strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries, and is served with a dollop of vanilla ice cream, which is the perfect complement to this warm dessert.
TAHINI CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES WITH TOASTED SESAME SEEDS
There is nothing better than biting into a warm chocolate chip cookie—except maybe when it also has a bit of tahini in it. Tahini adds moisture, texture, and savoriness, making this sweet treat just about as delicious as a cookie can get. The pairing also makes for a cookie rich in texture, with a soft chewy inside and crispy crackly edges. Top with sesame seeds and salt as they come out of the oven for extra nuttiness and crunch.
