I think the “coziest” part of my weekend is watching a movie with my toddlers - also the craziest and neither of them are snugglers 😂😩

Separately, Joy, it sounds like you need to visit Willamette valley! Karlee Flores, Lulu, me….just sayin

I love to make something that takes a little more time on Sundays, but in a big batch so I have leftovers during the busy weekdays. Favorites include soups, stews, or roasts. Its feels extra cozy to have a warm meal cooking away Sunday afternoon that I know will feed us again later.

My favorite weekend tradition is washing all of the linens on Sunday afternoon so that the towels are warm after an everything shower and the bed is cozy and toasty from having just finished in the dryer. :)

I am so excited about this cookbook! I have a similar story with my neighbor around d dinner recipes. We go on a long walk once a week and inevitably we would always ask each other “what’s for dinner”. I’ve gotten inspiration and some great recipes this way! My favorite cozy weekend recipe is making some sort of bread for the week- either sandwich bread, or muffins for breakfast, etc. it always feels like something special when going into a busy work week!

I love a cozy soup recipe (omg I’m so looking forward to soup season!). A favorite weekend soup is Deb’s short rib onion soup (https://smittenkitchen.com/2021/12/short-rib-onion-soup/). It’s so dreamy and cozy and GOOD.

My coziest weekend recipe is Cowboy Casserole. Meaty cheesy with lots of leftovers for lunches.

In the “ber” months, we like to have family over to watch football. I love making chili and cornbread with brownies and ice cream for dessert.

I’m an early riser and I love to go out in my backyard with coffee and my dogs, before the rest of my household wakes, and listen to the birds, check on my garden, and think about what I feel like baking over the weekend.

Slow Saturday morning breakfasts where we all stay in pajamas. Sometimes it’s pancakes with sprinkles, sometimes it’s Dutch babies with fresh peaches, and lately it’s been your blueberry muffins and scrambled eggs!

Thanks for this! We are some ways away from getting cozy, this is always the hottest weekend of the year in SoCal and I’m getting ready to curse all the people getting ready for soup!

This summer was pretty awesome, I embarked on a change of career and was lucky enough to get a temporary job welcoming visitors to our Natural History Museum. I realize now as my position ends that I need to stop defining myself by my job since I’m not likely to be working a full time job any time soon and my paid work doesn’t really define me, and probably never did.

Smitten Kitchen's cherry Dutch baby for breakfast--it's so easy and takes any stone fruit/berry, frozen or fresh. Makes the weekend feel special without much effort--premium lazy-cozy.

Sunday night dinner at my house with my two adult daughters, their husbands and their babies! There truly is nothing better! (Home cooked meals vary, but often a bundt cake is on the menu for dessert)

I love to get a chai and a pastry from my favorite local vendor at the farmers market and wander around looking at fresh produce, chatting with vendors, and feeling the wind on my cheeks!

Anything Mexican - especially cheesy chicken enchiladas, or a Mexican focused bowl with chicken or pork that has simmered in a homemade taco sauce in the crockpot all day.
