There’s a local market that makes Biscoff banana pudding. I bought a container with every intention of sharing with my family…but I finished it entirely by myself and have no intention of telling them it exists.
Thankfully my husband doesn't eat sweets and my kid is too young, so I don't have to share yet. But when I had roommates, I'd often hide that 8x8 of brownies in my room. Brownies are precious things, and if I dreamed about coming home and eating a brownie it better still be there!
My dentist is inconveniently located, but it’s my a great bakery. My treat after the appointment is a slice of chocolate cake. I earned that slice, I never share it!
My ice cream- because ice cream is life, I buy “decoy” ice cream for my kids and husband- you know, a good ol’ gallon of Dryers or Breyers . I put it visibly in our freezer and then when I’m flying solo I make runs to my favorite local fancy pants ice cream shop to buy a pint of my own- sometimes inspired by Nacho grandma’s banana pudding or something with lavender or olive oil…. The good stuff. And I take it home and hide it in the garage freezer reserved for what my kids call the “yucky stuff”. Always best to put my ice cream behind a decoy like a bag of frozen soup stock veggies or leftover frozen gumbo from the holidays. May they never discover my secret!
German Chocolate Cake is my obsession and if Baskin-Robbins has it as one of their seasonal flavors then I'm all over it & not planning to share. I'm willing to share a German Chocolate cake with my husband cause it's his favorite too and I can't hide it 😀
I would share almost any dessert, but only if someone was present. Eating all by myself is how I get away with not sharing the chocolate, chocolate chip cookies, anything with chocolate and peanut butter, anything with cookie butter. It's also why I exercise by myself.
I only disclose half the boxes of Girl Scout cookies I buy to my boyfriend. He doesn’t need to know about the rest!
It's a pint of ice cream, whatever flavor I have decided to try. I always promise to share with the kids, and somehow, magically, I never do.

Reese’s Take 5 bars. I need the whole thing 🤷♀️
Center brownies. I need all the gooey stuff, no edges for me.
Cheesecake with biscoff cookie crust. It’s too rare to share!

My three layer chocolate cake.
MY love for Banana Pudding makes me a greedy selfish person. So I hid my pudding in one of the
meat compartment !!

Every now and then I get a hankering for a slice of cake, but not just any cake. It has to be one of these two classics:
- Caramel Cake (yellow cake w/ caramel frosting)
or
- Yellow cake with chocolate frosting
They often come frozen in our grocery delivery so I sit them on the kitchen counter where of course my husband sees them.
He always asks me to save him a few bites but as I get to just the last few bites it doesn’t seem worth it to leave just a “few bites” behind.
My special ice cream! It’s had to share.
A slice of peanut butter pie. I’m obsessed 🙀
