Baked In is a weekly newsletter from me, Joy the Baker — a weekly review of kitchen notes, recent recipes, lists, and things I love, all lightly dusted in powdered sugar. It’s where I share what’s baking (literally and metaphorically), what I’m craving, what I’m listening to while I do the dishes, and the odd dramatic conversation I’ve had with myself on a long walk.

Every Sunday, subscribers get a new slice of Baked In, with all original content: personal stories, casual (but very good) recipes, links worth clicking, and kitchen trials and triumphs.

And because this newsletter feels a little more like a quiet chat on the porch than a broadcast to the internet at large, I’ll keep the juicier bits — love, infertility, ambition, the whole messy, tender swirl — just for paid subscribers. Think of it as the good stuff I’d tell you over a second glass of wine. Not everything needs to be for everyone, and that’s the charm of it.

So, if you’re into small joys, big feelings, pantry snacks, and the occasional existential crisis solved by chocolate chip cookies — you’re in the right place. I’m so glad you’re here.

With love and butter,
Joy
